G. Alexander Jones, M.D. a neurosurgeon, has joined the Edward Neurosciences Institute and the Elmhurst Neurosciences Institute as System Medical Director for Neurosurgery.

Dr. Jones earned his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine, followed by a surgical internship at Louisiana State University in New Orleans. He completed his residency in neurosurgery at Cleveland Clinic, including a fellowship in complex spine surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Center for Spine Health. He is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, North American Spine Society and Illinois State Neurosurgical Society.
Dr. Jones’ clinical interests include spine tumors, brain tumors, spondylolisthesis and other degenerative diseases of the spine, adult scoliosis and complex spine reconstruction.
