Edward-Elmhurst Health has announced the formation of Edward-Elmhurst Medical Group (EEMG). With more than 650 clinicians, EEMG is one of the largest healthcare provider groups in the Chicago area.
For the first time, physicians, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and ancillary providers (licensed clinical social workers, dietitians and others) caring for patients in the Edward-Elmhurst Health service area will share a common medical group name and market themselves as one group.
Among the newly employed members of EEMG are 123 providers, including 108 physicians and 15 APPs, of Elmhurst Clinic, which became part of EEMG on July 1 following 71 years of service to the Elmhurst community. The Clinic began as a six-physician group in 1952.
“The message to our patients is that while our name is changing, the same high-quality, exceptional care they have come to expect will not change,” says Daniel Sullivan, MD, Co-Chief Physician Executive, NorthShore – Edward-Elmhurst Health. “We are extremely proud of the care this collective group provides to our communities each day. That includes providing preventive care by our primary care providers, acute inpatient care from our hospitalists and specialized care for the sickest of patients.”
EMMG includes:
•
More than 650 clinicians including hospital-based and ambulatory providers, and those from Linden Oaks Medical Group
•
Nearly 400 physicians representing 25 specialties
•
50 locations serving 26 communities throughout Cook, DuPage, DeKalb, Kane, Kendall and Will Counties
