The 11th annual Healthy Driven Naperville Half Marathon, 10K & 5K Sponsored by Edward-Elmhurst Health was held on Sunday, Oct. 22. Nearly 2,250 runners completed the races – 1,284 ran the Half Marathon, 286 ran the 10K and 679 ran the 5K, including many who ran for area charitable organizations.
Yvette Saba, President, Edward Hospital, welcomed runners, volunteers and spectators in the pre-race ceremony and
blew the horn to send runners on their way to their 3.1-, 6.2- and 13.1-mile journeys through Naperville.
Brandon Kamp, 20 years old, Naperville, was the overall winner of the Half Marathon with a time of 1:09:03. Kristen Heckert, 36, Bolingbrook, won the female division of the Half Marathon with a time of 1:19:25. Jared Righter, 37, Naperville, was the overall winner of the 10K with a time of 34:33 and Laura Reznicek, 39, Naperville, was the female 10K winner with a time of 40:54. Finbar Smith, 38, Naperville, was the overall winner of the 5K with a time of 17:19 and Kathryn Rohr, 13, Naperville, was the female 5K winner for the second year in a row, crossing the finish line this time in 18:44.
