Anna Quistad, Psy.D. earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Wheaton College, IL. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Range Mental Health Center in Minnesota and focused on community mental health, substance use, and crisis stabilization. After completing her internship, Dr. Quistad pursued a postdoctoral fellowship at the Cambridge Eating Disorder Center in Massachusetts, further specializing in eating disorders and trauma. As a licensed clinical psychologist, she utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches, including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), solution-focused brief psychotherapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and brief psychodynamic psychotherapy. She believes in considering how both strengths and challenges within a patient’s past can be used to deal with present difficulties that get in the way of greater health and wholeness. Dr. Quistad’s desire is to empower individuals with finding their voice and build on areas of strength and resiliency. Dr. Quistad specializes in working with adolescents and adults dealing with past trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, stress-management, body image, disordered eating patterns, as well as issues surrounding faith and spirituality. In addition, Dr. Quistad strives to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment for her patients, helping them achieve their personal goals and improve their overall well-being.
