Philosophy Of Care
Tara is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Case Manager who completed her Master of Social Work degree with a Clinical Social Work concentration and a Gerontology specialization at Aurora University. Tara’s background includes working in inpatient, outpatient and forensics settings providing individual and group therapy, assessment and referral services and discharge planning. Tara also has experience working as an Elder Abuse Investigator with Adult Protective Services. Some of the therapeutic techniques Tara incorporates into treatment include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Tara works collaboratively with adults to help improve their mental health in a supportive and nonjudgmental environment. Tara leads with kindness, compassion, and patience while she listens attentively, is understanding and helps those she works with to feel safe. Tara will be a CT II practicing out of the Woodridge office.
