Monica graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Pastoral Counseling. As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, she applies an eclectic mix of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Expressive Arts Therapy. Monica believes in being a friend and companion who accompanies and guides her clients from where they are to where they want to be. Monica specializes in working with adolescents ages 16+, adults, couples, families dealing with anxiety, depression, career issues as well as life transitions. Monica has additional experience in spiritual direction assisting those who seek discernment and guidance with spiritual concerns. Monica is an experienced facilitator who led skills groups with adults who struggled with anxiety, depression, and trauma in PHP/IOP settings. In all, Monica offers a safe, supportive and compassionate space for her clients, helping them achieve their personal goals and enrich their overall well-being.
