  • A smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer

WHAT IF I’M HAVING TROUBLE CONNECTING?

Using the mobile app provides an optimal experience. If you are having trouble connecting from your mobile device, follow these steps:

  1. Close out all other open apps (they may be competing for audio resources)
  2. Disable Bluetooth
  3. Reboot mobile device before joining the video
  4. Switch from Wi-Fi to cellular data

If these steps do not work, the provider can send a link to connect to the Video Visit by email or text. Note: We will use the email or phone number in your MyChart account. This link will connect you directly to the waiting room.

CAN I SWITCH TO AN AUDIO VISIT IF MY VIDEO DOESN’T WORK?

We will do all we can to make sure the Video Visit is successful. If you do not have video-enabled technology, your provider can convert to a Virtual Phone Visit and call you directly to conduct the visit over the phone.

WHAT IF I’M NOT ACTIVE IN MYCHART WHEN I START A VIDEO VISIT?

No worries! You can now start a Video Visit without a MyChart account. After you begin, you can simply create an account to receive information after your visit.

I AM A FAMILY MEMBER; HOW DO I JOIN THE VIDEO VISIT?

The Video Visit provider can send a link to the patient’s proxy (family member) via text or email. Note: You must be set up in MyChart as the patient’s proxy so that we have your email address or mobile phone number. The patient can also send you an invitation link from MyChart via the Appointment details page to join the video visit.
