Crisis Response/Healing Team

The Endeavor Health/Linden Oaks crisis response team provides immediate and practical resources for those impacted by trauma and serious loss. By offering assessments, information, referrals, education and support during a time of need, the team delivers frontline mental health care with compassion, dignity and excellence.

Think of a crisis situation as the initial splash that is caused when a pebble is thrown into a pond. The reactions people have as a result of the situation are like the ripples which may continue long after the pebble penetrates the surface. It is common for people in crisis to experience powerful physical and emotional reactions to a traumatic or stressful event.

Crisis response team

The Linden Oaks crisis response team members are trained in critical incident stress management, in addition to years of experience providing outreach, care and support to individuals and groups.

Members represent various disciplines, including counseling, psychology, social work, education, nursing and other related areas. The Crisis Response Team joins Mental Health First Aid and the Student Intervention program in the array of prevention programs available through Linden Oaks Behavioral Health.

Crisis response services

In the event of a crisis, such as the death of a student or teacher, a single phone call will activate the team response. Members of the team will arrive ready to provide support. The team leader will meet with the designated administrator, who at all times maintains control of the crisis response. The administrator and team leader will discuss the services available and decide which are most appropriate to assist the organization or community.

The most typical requests for service are in response to fatal traffic collisions, completed suicide, homicide, death or serious injury of a child, workplace violence and accidental or sudden death discovered by a family member, friend or co-worker.
